The train industry has played a large role in the history and development of the state of Arkansas. Today, several residents in the state are reporting that Union Pacific trains are stopping in their towns for hours at time. They say these long stops are causing children to be late for school and putting their community and families to be a risk for danger if they're not able to access the other side of town.

A look at Migrants seeking Asylum May 2024
In May of 2024, a year after Title 42 ended, I traveled to the Nogales border to report on how Santa Cruz County was being impacted by migrants entering the U.S. to seek asylum. Since January of 2025, there was a proclamation suspending entry for some asylum seekers. I'm hoping to do a follow-up with Santa Cruz County.

The lack of warranty of habitability continues to be an issue impacting many Arkansans.
Residents at Big Country Chateau reported unlivable conditions of mold, lack of air conditioning and roach infestations and were told their water and electricity would permanently be shut off.
At some point, the attorney general got involved and the court appointed a Receiver to pay all the bills and fix the property.

After two years of battling cancer, 7-year-old Veronica Strub victoriously rang the cancer bell at Phoenix Children's Hospital on Friday afternoon.
Veronica decided to have her sister, Zoey, join her in the special moment.
"Zoey has been always supporting me and I love her," Veronica said. "And she's my Chewbacca teddy bear."

Arkansas has recently passed Act 626 which prohibits doctors from providing gender confirming hormone treatment, puberty blockers or surgery to anyone under 18 years old or referring them to other providers for treatment. A judge in a lower court ruled a temporary block on the law before it went into effect.

The only Applebee's in Little Rock shuttered its doors Sunday and employees said they were left with no warning of its abrupt closure.
